Trustee and Charity Services

Being a trustee can be a fairly onerous task.  The obligations that are placed on trustees to manage money for other people are complex and taxing in more ways than one.

We aim to help make trustees' lives easier by providing advice on all investment and taxation aspects relating to trusts, whether these be personal trusts or charitable ones.

Our services include:-

A review of the Trust Deed and investment powers, and a summary of Trustee powers and responsibilities.

A report on the suitability of investments to meet the requirements of the Trustee Investment Act 2000, covering such matters as suitable diversification, review schedules and tax efficiency.

Ongoing monitoring and reporting to the trustees to ensure the investments continue to meet the requirements of the trust goals.

Advice on tax efficient extraction of funds from trusts where possible.

Stuart is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner, a qualification most usually found in legal practices' Private Client department.  This gives him a specialist knowledge of this area which is generally not available directly within financial planning firms. In turn, this enables him to work very closely with legal practitioners when trust and estate work is necessary or desirable.
