Whether you are currently funding, or looking to fund your retirement, or you are at the point of retiring, we are able to provide advice.
In our experience, few people want a pension but we all need to fund our retirement. We look to plan to ensure you have sufficient resources to give you financial freedom in retirement. Pensions are not the only way of funding a comfortable retirement but they do have some tax advantages and recent legislative changes have given more freedom as to how benefits may be taken.
Our clients have come to us with all sorts of pension related issues and we are able to advise on basic Stakeholder Schemes, Personal Pensions, SIPPs and the whole range of occupational pension schemes including Auto-enrolment, that clients may have amassed during their working life. We can also advise on apportionment (on divorce), transferring or consolidation of a number of smaller pension plans or, just as importantly, looking at alternative ways of providing for retirement income.
When it comes to taking benefits we provide advice on the different ways this can be done; annuity purchase and drawing on the funds directly by way of unsecured or secured pension. As health issues can make a considerable difference to the levels of income that can be available to you, we will always look to take this into account when securing retirement income.
